American Red Cross Babysitting/First Aid

Get serious about babysitting responsibilities and become certified in first aid. Learn safe childcare practices that lead to a rewarding babysitting experience. Develop skills in basic childcare (diapering, dressing, hygiene, and feeding), coping with safety hazards (fire, poisoning, strangers), and age-appropriate holding. Obtain Red Cross certification in human first aid and an understanding of pet first aid, water safety, and precautions for natural disasters. For an additional $25 upon registration, purchase an American Red Cross first aid kit. Proceeds benefit the American Red Cross and Boyd Community Center. For 11-to 14-year-olds.
